"Be Kind, Rewind is an homage to that classic drum and bass staple, the Kung Fu sample, giving it a future twist. It includes a variety of styles and BPM's, ranging from footwork jungle to slow/fast to minimal jump up. I wanted to give the feel of an old video store, so the intro brings you into the home of the listener as they pop the VHS into the VCR with the Be Kind, Rewind sticker staring back at them as it slides in. The VHS tape rewinds (because who actually ever followed those instructions) and starts playing that nostalgic cheesy dubbed Kung fu dialogue, leading into the rest if the album. The LP concludes with the VHS tape finishing and the listener then pressing a couple buttons, after which you hear the world slowing down, as if the album itself was a dream and the listener is transported back to reality."
